I lost my google mesh network to a firmware update, ofc I didn't even ask for it to be updated, they just shipped an update that bricked the devices. Just got an "out of warranty" response after they gave me the normal suggestions of trying to reboot, etc.

I bought an Acer laptop a while ago, then I found out the support they sold me was through a third party that had terrible customer service and they never upgraded the drivers after shipping, which made the laptop useless a couple of years down the line.

I learnt my lesson though, never by from Acer.

Yeah, the worst lecturer I ever had was a maths genius. I remember on one occasion someone asked a question and the best he could do was "but that's trivial".

The trouble is they don't scale and are generally just a pain. Especially with how bad they play with lambda expressions.
