> Not linking to stuff is the new normal.
Maybe in certain anti-intellectual crowds. But not here.
Reddit behavior shouldn't restrict you elsewhere.

> LSP just worked
Hi, just browsing. Where are you usually having issues with LSP these days? Is it a vim issue specifically, or related to your setup?
I believe LSP works across a multitude of editors by now.

> "in situ" is a very commonly used phrase among English speakers
I would challenge the "very common" claim.
But sure, the phrase is in use. Mostly not in tech, though.
And you are using it wrong.
If you wanted to express "in-place translation", you could have done so using your native tongue.
You're welcome.

> in-situ
I believe you mean ex situ:
> By contrast, ex situ methods involve the removal or displacement of materials, specimens, or processes for study, preservation, or modification in a controlled setting, often at the cost of contextual integrity.
Might as well use the correct words if you want to talk above people's heads.

Having used whisper and noticed the useless quality due to their 30-second chunks, I would stay far away from software working on even a shorter duration.
The short duration effectively means that the transcription will start producing nonsense as soon as a sentence is cut up in the middle.

I like the idea of questioning status quo, but not so sure this makes a whole lot of sense in 2025.
Meerkartor was developed to project a 3D GLOBE onto a flat surface.
We already have non-meerkartor projections such as the classic globe that should be found in every class-room, and modern digital variations such as Google Earth.
And the meerkartor projections we do use:
In USA, the meerkartor projection centers on the USA.
In europe, the meerkartor projection centers on Europe.
And in asia, guess where the center is?
Why can't Africa just start using their own projection too, with their preferences?
