> Yeh, I've been tinkering around a year with a Bevy-competitor, Amethyst until that project shut down. By now, I just don't think Rust is good for client-side or desktop game development.
I don't think your experience with Amethyst merits your conclusion of the state of gamedev in rust, especially given Amethysts own take on Bevy [1, 2].
1: https://web.archive.org/web/20220719130541mp_/https://commun...
2: https://web.archive.org/web/20240202140023/https://amethyst....

> Can anybody explain to me again why systemd is so bad ?
Mostly I seen misguided criticism from less technical people that don't understand systemd but seem to like the idea of fitting in and have identified that a certain few verbal linux users they consider to be cool hate it with passion.
It's really dumb and boring and they often resort to just make stuff up. This thread has a bunch of such comments.
Systemd solves countless real problems and helped linux grow in many ways.

> If you want to add two days you can't just call Add(0 /years/, 0 /months/, 2 /days/), you need to use AddDate.
Sorry for nit-picking, but 2 days is a duration of time, and you can add one using Add, like this:

    t.Add(time.Hour * 24 * 2)

I agree about FFI being a weak point in go when you need to interact with other languages, but it can hopefully be mitigated by using tinygo, which is still being developed.
