That is an unnecessary interrogation, you don't need to verify the initial call at all. Simply call your bank on your own.

The standard doesn't say that you must accept all URIs up to a certain length. You're allowed to decide, based on context, what is "too long".

That is to say, you're allowed to have a double standard. And I love this sort of stuff, thanks for sharing.

It is most likely both: Intentional leaks of the truth.

Obviously, _what_ someone chooses to leak can still benefit them, even if it's true. You can be selective about what information you share.

That's what brought them down, but that could bring down anyone. My point is that vendor financing turns non-finance companies into finance companies, and brings along a huge can of worms.

To be honest, I think "vendor financing" is still a very risky premise.

Vendors may be positioned to know how a customer is doing, but they're also incentivized to overestimate how well a customer is going to perform.

GE Capital (edit: and GMCA) is a great example of how seemingly reasonable vendor financing can cause the lender serious problems.

As others stated, installing software can change the state of your firewall configuration, or start a service listening on 0.0.0.0:8080 for example.
