Compa.AI | Enterprise Security Engineer | Hybrid (US - Irvine, Denver, Seattle) | Full-time | 175 - 205k + equity/benefits
We're looking for a first Enterprise Security Hire (reporting to Head of Sec/IT) at an Irvine based AI Startup. Completed series B in January - exciting time to join!
https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/compa/1fe329ea-f4a5-4605-8a2a-febf8...
The Role
We are looking for an Enterprise Security Engineer to help build and operate Compa’s security-first enterprise environment.
This is a senior individual contributor role reporting directly to the Head of Security & IT. You'll own the systems that define how employees access, use, and interact with technology at Compa — identity, access, endpoints, and enterprise SaaS — and treat them as core security infrastructure, not traditional IT.
This role sits on the Security team and partners closely with the rest of the business to help Compa move fast, securely, all while delivering a world-class employee experience.
We're open to candidates earlier in their career who demonstrate strong systems thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to design for scale. We care more about what you can do than how many years you have been doing it.

We process high-volume ad exposure + survey/event data and turn it into brand lift, reach validation, optimization recommendations, and AI-assisted analysis for enterprise marketers.
We're looking for a senior full-stack/backend-leaning engineer who can be productive quickly in our JVM/Spring Boot stack. Recent production experience with Java, Kotlin, or similar is important for this role; we need someone who can help us ship and operate backend services without a long stack ramp-up. Strong candidates also bring Python, SQL/data modeling, AWS/Kubernetes/observability, and high-volume event or analytics pipeline experience.
The work includes building APIs and data pipelines, productionizing analytics/statistical workflows with Product and Data Science, improving reliability/performance, and building AI-powered customer experiences. Stack includes Kotlin/Java, Python analytics services, React, MySQL, DynamoDB, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform and LLM orchestration.
We're profitable/growth-stage, remote-first in the US, and engineering-led: high velocity through focus and leverage, not crunch.
Wrenly | Founding Customer Success Manager (AI-first) | REMOTE (Brazil-based only) | Full-time contract via Deel, USD base + commission | https://www.wrenly.ai/hiring/csm
Wrenly is a bootstrapped, profitable HR / people-analytics SaaS. We collect performance and engagement data where teams already work (Slack, MS Teams), and our AI turns it into plans managers actually act on. We go up against Lattice and Culture Amp with a fraction of their headcount.
We're hiring our first CSM. You'll own onboarding, support, QBRs, renewals and expansion — and you'll do it with AI as the primary tool, not a side feature. Claude is how you'll triage tickets, investigate our codebase, write docs, and automate the repetitive parts of the job, so the knowledge base answers the next customer before they ask.
Hard requirements:
- Based in Brazil, comfortable with US Eastern time-zone overlap
- Fluent written and spoken English
- 100+ hours of real hands-on experience building AI agents/automations. This is a genuine bar — if you haven't, this isn't the role.
- 1-4 years in B2B SaaS customer success / account management is ideal but not required; we care more about how you work than how long you've done it.
Comp & perks: USD $16k-$26k base + commission on expansion, fully remote, 40h/week, 20 days off/year total, all tools and AI plans covered, real input on product from day one.
How to apply (plus a short video from our co-founder): https://www.wrenly.ai/hiring/csm

Carma (YC W24) | Founding Head of Engineering, Founding Full-Stack Engineer | San Francisco, CA | ONSITE | $175K–$450K + 2.0%–5.0% equity
Carma (https://www.joincarma.com/) is an AI-native operating system for enterprise fleet operations. Fortune 500 construction, electrical, and disaster restoration fleets run thousands of commercial vehicles on our platform in production today. When a truck breaks down, gets recalled, or sits idle, our software detects it, builds the workflow, and drives it to resolution automatically. Ship a feature in the morning; a fleet manager in the field is using it within the hour.
Why it's technically interesting: real-world software with messy, adversarial data — telematics streams, OEM recall feeds, vendor invoices, DOT compliance — fused into workflows that AI agents execute. The incumbents in this multi-billion-dollar market ship on decade-old stacks. We raised a $5.5M seed from Y Combinator, Soma Capital, and the founders of Superhuman, and we're driving toward a Series A.
Stack: TypeScript end-to-end — React, NestJS, PostgreSQL + Prisma, AWS.
Two founding roles, both heavy on ownership:
1) Founding Head of Engineering: $300K–$450K + 3–5% equity. Hands-on technical leader: the majority of your time writing production code, plus owning architecture, standards, and technical direction. Explicitly not a people-management track.
2) Founding Full-Stack Engineer: $175K–$275K + 2–3% equity. Own product surfaces end-to-end: ambiguous problem statement → scoped design → shipped to enterprise users.
Onsite in SF six days a week, early-stage pace, high ownership and high expectations. Our process is fast, strong candidates go from first conversation to offer in days, not months.
Email suleyman@joincarma.com with 2–3 lines on the hardest system you've shipped end-to-end. We reply to every thoughtful email within 24 hours.

Noticing a pattern across this month's thread: companies want "AI engineers" but job descriptions break into two distinct archetypes: (1) people who can eval and fine-tune models, (2) people who can ship reliable agent pipelines in prod. Very few candidates can do both. At our fintech startup we ended up hiring two people for what we thought was one role. The infra/reliability side is consistently underestimated until the first prod incident.

Please see the full job description for details, but I'm looking for someone who is comfortable leading engineering discovery and working with Product on roadmap planning within the API payroll integrations space. The most important thing in this role will be driving your own pace and taking projects from inception to completion. We also want someone who has strong systems design experience and good technical leadership skills. In terms of tech stack, it's mostly Python and Typescript, including nest.js
Our interview process is pretty straightforward. You are a good fit if:
* You are comfortable maintaining, expanding and operating a substantial chunk of a B2B SaaS platform with a high sense of ownership.
* You are happy to take on work that in a large company is divided into multiple roles, and execute it all at an excellent level.
* You are unafraid of any technology. If we need a desktop app and you haven't done one before, you will study the documentation of Electron.js and build one. If a model for predicting delivery times is needed, you will do a literature review to find the right architecture and train one.
* You have strong proficiency in any backend language or platform, with a strong willingness to dive deep into PHP/Laravel OR strong proficiency in JS/React.
* E-commerce (Shopify, Magento, other platforms, shipping carrier integrations) experience is a plus.
* Extra points if you write the initial email - however short - using your own words.
You will take a key role in shaping the product and company, with ability to make an impact and advance career limited only by your aptitude and interest.
Reach out to steve@pango.ai if you are interested or have any questions. We review applications immediately and move quickly.

Babou | Full Stack Software Engineer | REMOTE | Full-time
Babou turns your product into marketing: every time you ship, it watches your deploys, designs, and docs and builds the campaign (ads, demos, social, launch videos). Small team with users and real revenue.
Stack: TypeScript everywhere, Next.js front, Node + Postgres back, heavy media job processing, and a lot of AI agents running in production.
Looking for: agents are how you ship code, and you know when an LLM is wrong. You move fast without shipping slop. You've built large production systems and kept them running.
Apply: email careers@babou.ai with your GitHub, a writeup of something you've shipped, and how you work with agents day to day. https://babou.ai/careers

Prolific Machines | Senior Software Platform Engineer | On-site mostly (Emeryville, CA) | Full-time | $160k–$210k + equity
We use light to control how living cells produce therapeutic proteins — optogenetic cell engineering, custom illumination hardware, and real-time ML bioprocess control — to drive down cost and scale up production of next-generation therapies.
With our technology scaling from the lab to the real world of biomanufacturing, we're now hiring a foundational software engineer to build the platform tying together our hardware, firmware, cloud, and internal tooling — high ownership over architecture and direction. This is a systems role across the hardware/software boundary (not web/SaaS), working directly with embedded, mechanical, data, and even bioprocess engineers.
Looking for: strong systems thinking; Python + one of TS/Go/Rust; cloud-connected services; comfort interfacing and debugging software against hardware (serial, TCP/IP); Linux. MS + 5 yrs or BS + 7 yrs. Bonus: Industrial IoT (MQTT Sparkplug B, OPC UA, SCADA/MES), regulated-industry data integrity (21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5), or embedded C/C++.
Apply: https://jobs.lever.co/prolific-machines/6d71f9d0-7248-4449-8...
Happy to answer questions: matt dot fay at prolific dash machines dot com.

focal vc | Head of Tech & AI | Remote/Onsite/Hybrid (US) | Includes meaningful carry
full description: hiring.focal.vc
---
focal leads inception rounds in exceptional technical founders - often before the company is obvious, before consensus forms, before datasets show a trace.
We're now hiring a founding technical leader to build the software, data, and AI systems that help us see earlier, decide better, act faster, and compound what we learn across every opportunity and portfolio company.
This is NOT an internal AI tools role. This IS a founder role. You own the proprietary intelligence layer - the system that shapes how we source, decide, support, learn, and execute.
We're looking for someone we'd back as a technical founder, but whose obsession is building the machine behind many companies rather than just one.
Details:
- Carry: In Fund II and every future fund you're part of. Startup equity is one bet on one outcome. Carry is participation in every company we back, across every fund, for as long as you're here. Grants layer over time and your upside compounds. Exact % shared with qualified finalists.
- Cash comp: Commensurate with experience and impact (~$175k-$250k base)
- Additional benefits: 100% paid healthcare, 401(k), 6 weeks PTO, 3 months paid parental leave
- Budget: For tools, compute, office needs, and experimentation
- Setup: High trust, low process. You have wide autonomy over how you work, we care first and foremost about impact.
Apply: Send hiring@focal.vc your LinkedIn (and X if you have it) along with the thing you've built in recent months you're most proud of and why. We look for evidence of taste, systems thinking, and judgment.
Full post: hiring.focal.vc
